A series of donation based dance/movement classes, taking place on Monday nights, from 7.15PM at SET.

Hosted by dancer and musician Bianca Scout and facilitated by performer Sim Gray, in association with bimonthly Movement///Possession events.

The introductory session featured group discussion and video clips. The following classes focused entirely on practical techniques.

During December, we studied Classical ballet, Contemporary, Release and Martial Arts.

We will continue these classes in 2019, incorporating improvisation alongside Graham and Cunningham methods.

These sessions aim to improve core strength and flexibility through consistent training methods, while emphasising creativity and personal artistry within traditional forms. Each class will introduce a theme, which we will discuss together, such as:

-the collective and social process of creation. -improvised non verbal action. -dance as a participatory practice. -physicality and performativity.

We intend for these classes to be affordable and accessible. We also aim to accommodate any specific access requirements. Please get in touch on if you want to book a place in advance, although you can also show up on the day.

These classes provide a welcoming space for non binary and QTIPOC people. £5 recommended donation.
